It appears I have borers in my caravan due to the wood dust lying around edges. Is this bug bomb OK for use?
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteYes. The Kiwicare Bug Bomb or Borafume fumigators would be suitable for use in a caravan. It would also be worth treating any bare wood you can access with NO Borer fluid.
I have little very tiny insects in my larder – in the new container of sugar, flour etc. These products were in sealed plastic containers and they were even sitting inside a new, clean empty container and on the shelves of the cupboard.
ReplyDeleteDo you have any advice as to what they are and how I should best deal with them please.
Thanks, Judi
Hello Judi,
DeleteI am pretty sure that the insects are booklice, also known as psocids, pronounced sosids. These little pale insects feed on microscopic moulds that grow on packaging and starchy foods such as your flour. Take a look at my post of August 2013 or the Kiwicare.co.nz website at http://www.kiwicare.co.nz/pest/pests/a-g/booklice/

About one month ago we went on a trip stayed a a cheap motel and woke up with bites on my lower left buttocks and behind my lower leg thought of mosquitos or spiders didnt see any around . Two days after coming home i woke up with more bites on my foot and ankle. I looked around the house for spiders or mosquitos didn't find any thought it was strange since i was the only one getting bites. Asking around a friend said you have bed bugs i thought that was crazy since my matress was new and expensive. 2 days after again i woke up with bites around my elbow by this time i was convinced i did have bed bugs. I looked up pictures of these so called bed bugs so that i would know what they look like i found 2 adults and killed them. I thought that was it two days past by no bites. And now i woke up with 3 new bites looked around found 2 adults reddish in color 2 smaller yellowish in color and one tiny yellow one. Please help am i infested with these nasty blood suckers?? If so what can i do please soo scared of these things since i have 3 small children.
ReplyDeleteHello,
DeleteYou will find lots of useful advice on how to get rid of bed bugs on the Kiwicare bed bug page.
Depending on where you are in the world you might be able to get the products advised or find something similar. Print out the page and take the description to your local store. The most important things are not the products so much as the way to deal with them. It requires being very thorough and patient.
I hope this helps
